Manchester United star, Zlatan ibrahimovic, got banned by FA for violent conduct during the game against AFC Bournemouth.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has accepted a three-match ban for elbowing Bournemouth’s Tyrone Mings during Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Old Trafford. The Manchester United striker will miss Monday’s FA Cup quarter-final at Chelsea and Premier League games against Middlesbrough and West Brom.

After the announcement of the ban, the Twitterati had a field day with some loyal supporters standing by their hero, while some had pretty interesting views about the incident.

Here is our pick of the lot:

The in-form Swede missed a crucial penalty which proved decisive in the outcome of the game.

Zlatan came forward and provided a statement in his defence in the most Zlatan way ever!

Manchester United fans were not too pleased with Mings either, as he “accidentally” stamped on Ibrahimovic’s face while he was down on the ground.

Are you Zlataned?
