Churchill Brothers Football Club midfielder Brandon Fernandes has been invited for trials by a leading club in Lithuania. Brandon who is Benaulim based and had trained in South Africa earlier is a rising star in the state and specialist in dead ball situation.
He left for Lithuania on Tuesday on being invited by a Portuguese coach who has stakes with one of the top Lithuania football teams. Brandon was one of the 46 players who were suspended by Goa Football Association (GFA) after taking part in an unauthorized tournament in Cuncolim last month. The ban was later lifted by levying a penalty of Rs 5,000/- and now he is clear to participate in tournaments. His sweet right foot and precise free-kicks have already won him a lot of admirers in South Africa and hopefully he succeeds this time too shining at international level.

The hard work seems to be bearing fruits for the midfielder. We wish him with all the luck and hope for more Indian players to be getting such opportunities to gain the useful exposure overseas.
